I want to dye the tip on my extensions?..?

I have pretty short hair (just touching my shoulders) i wear extensions which are 12" at the moment, but I want to move unto wearing 16/18" extensions with the tips dyed. Can I dye the tips myself? (black extensions dyed teal?) or is there a place that I can buy a certain extension with the tips already dyed?
