How to help my dad quit smoking?

My dad smokes. I've caught him before, and he said "I won't do it again." But I know he still does. Today, I was looking for something in his desk, and found a empty pack of cigarettes. I don't want to get in trouble for finding it, but I don't want him to keep smoking. How can I get him to quit without telling him that I know he still smokes?
